Feature and Follow # 2

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

A: I have to say yes, when I am depressed or sad I tend to go to one of my favorite author's, like Sherrilyn Kenyon, J.R. Ward, Gena Showalter, Alyssa Day, Larissa Ione or Donna Grant (this answer would change once I read more YA). If I am happy I tend to grab anything new or something different out of my norm.

  2. All great authors!! ^_^ I <3 J.R. Ward & Gena Showalter! Still haven't gotten around to Kenyon, Day, Ione or Grant >.< But they're def on my TBR list! I'm the opposite of you, I can read any book given my mood, but I will switch up my genres every now and then.

  36. For me I find my mood changes the genre that I want to read. I go through blocks where I only read one genre, then I randomly change to another one. But I don't find myself reading certain books because of the way I feel. Although I do find that the way I feel has an impact on how much I enjoy the book! So if I'm angry or sad I try and take a break from reading till I get over it :)
