Q: Summer Reading. What was your favorite book that you were REQUIRED to read when you were in school?
A: It's been so long ago LOL, um I have to say Where The Red Fern Grows, though it was so sad.

I've heard it's very sad, but I've never read it! I've been meaning to.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has trouble remembering that far back... makes you feel old, doesn't it? Lol.
Thanks for stopping by my FF!
It was, I remember crying so hard.
DeleteI had to sit here and think, its been years LOL I do feel old. I see the Outsiders and I was like oh yea that one too LOL.
Thanks for stopping by.
I have never read Where the Red Fern Grows! My mom wouldn't let me read it because she said it was too sad (I was a sensitive kid *lol* ) I should probably get to reading so I can let my daughter read it too!
ReplyDeleteMy TGIF / Follow Friday!
LOL, you should but be prepared to cry because wow it is a terkjerker!
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Aw. Where The Red Fern Grows made me cry and there aren't many books that I can actually made me cry instead of just misty eyed. It was even more hateful since we were reading it in class. Oh, high school...
ReplyDeleteNew Follower! Thanks for stopping by my FF.
It was cruel they made us read that in class, I balled like a baby LOL.
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
I loved Where the Red Fern Grows! I cried so hard. I was really good though.

Where the Red Fern Grows was one of my very favorite books too!!!! Immediately after reading this one, I remember running to the library and getting Summer of the Monkeys :)

DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! We feel the same way about Where the Red Fern Grows, obvs! Don't know if I've ever talked to someone that read it and didn't feel anything.
ReplyDeleteI am telling you that book stuck with me for a long time, I remember after I read that I had trouble reading anything for awhile.
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
Thank you for stopping by my blog , I'm now following you !
ReplyDeleteI've never read Where the Red Fern Grows but I hear its a tear jerker!
It is , I think that is the second book to make me cry buckets when I read it, Ole Yeller was the other one back then anyway.
DeleteThanks for the follow and stopping by.
Never read the book, but watched the movie as a child. After that, I think I refused to read it because it was so sad. Doesn't a dog die in it? If so, that's why.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
sinn @ sinnful books
Yea it did, crushed my heart, I don't think I ever watched the movie for same reason as you.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Never heard of this one. And I don't think I'll read it cause I really don't like crying. LOL! I mean I don't like to cry that much over a book. I've done a lot of crying in Danielle Steel's books back then. I don't like sad books. :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF! :)
I understand what your saying, I don't like to cry either. My son teases me I could cry at a Wendy's commercial ( a bit exaggerated) but I do get emotional a lot.
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
I remember reading Where the Red Fern Grows in school but for the life of me I can't remember what that book is about.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember much of the details, just a few that it made me cry buckets LOL.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Ah now, Donna...I have a story about this one that I remember! I've never read the book, okay, but one time (don't ask me when...I can't remember everything!) I was with a friend at the movies. I don't even remember what we saw. How horrible is that? But afterwards we decided to sneak into the end of another movie and it was Where the Red Fern Grows. And I mean, it was literally the end of the movie lol. We had no idea what it was about.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF!
LOL that is a great story, I snuck in a couple times but it was usually in the middle so it wasn't too bad trying to figure out what was happening.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
I haven't read this one.. I'll have to look it up though :)
ReplyDeletefollowing your YA blog, Donna!
Ana♥
It's so good but warning it will make you cry or at least it did back then.
DeleteWhen I first saw this blog I was like "Whaaat??? Did she change her blog or something?" Then I read the little note on the YA thing, and I was like "Oh, okay." LOL And I followed ;)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I don't think I've even heard of Where the Red Fern Grows.
Have an awesome weekend!
Here's my Follow Friday post.
