It's Monday What Are You Reading?

This meme is hosted by One Persons Journey through a world of BooksIt’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I was a bit slow on reading this week, it was a crazy week which ended with my son's bday. So I only got one book finished this past week.

Untamed Fire by Donna Fletcher (adult)for a blog tour this week on my adult blog

What I plan on reading:

City of Bones

Anna Dressed in Blood

Enchanted

I hope to get to others as well, we will see how this week goes.

Feature and Follow # 1

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

Q: Summer Reading. What was your favorite book that you were REQUIRED to read when you were in school?

A: It's been so long ago LOL, um I have to say Where The Red Fern Grows, though it was so sad.

What's Next? #1

Is hosted by IceyBooks, and here is how it works.

-Every Thursday, select three-five books (not too many, not too little!) that you want to read but can't decide which one to read first.

-Post the cover, and if you want, the synopsis or even a random line from the book, for each of your selections.

-At the end of your post, ask readers to vote on which one you should read next!

Even if you don't end up reading your readers' top choice, you'll know what the majority is excited for.

So who's up for it? Be sure to grab a button and link up your posts tomorrow! And leave me a comment telling me what you think!

As always, thanks for reading :)

Here is my choices

Blurb:

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .

Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

Blurb:
Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.

When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.

But she, for whatever reason, spares Cas's life.

Blurb:
Mina Grime is unlucky, unpopular and uncoordinated, that is until she saves her crushes life on a field trip, changing her High School status from loser to hero overnight. But with her new found fame brings misfortune in the form of an old family curse come to light. For Mina is descended from the Brothers Grimm and has inherited all of their unfinished fairy tale business. Which includes trying to outwit a powerful Story from making her it's next fairytale victim.

To break the fairy tale curse on her family and make these deadly occurrences stop, Mina must finish the tales until the very Grimm end.

Which should I read first??

Topic Thursday:Do you prefer Series books or Standalone's?

To get this blog going I thought I would start with a feature that I use on my Adult blog and that is Topic Thursday.

My question this week is ..... Do you prefer Series books or Standalone's? I myself love series books, I am what you call a series addict. If I find a book I love I just want it to continue. I want to know where these characters are going and what are they doing? Don't get me wrong I have read some awesome standalone's but deep down I wish they would continue on..

So are you a series addict? Or do you prefer the story to end and move on to the next one? What are your favorites, be it series or standalone. I need some good suggestions.
